About this whisky
- Region:
Port Charlotte Valinch, distilled in 2007, is a powerfully elegant single malt from Bruichladdich, heavily peated to 40ppm and born from the same tall stills as its renowned parentage. This 12-year-old expression pays homage to the historic Lochindaal distillery – originally known as Port Charlotte – which ceased production in 1929. Matured exclusively in a first-fill fresh premium French oak cask (number 2190), it delivers a robust character at 61.1% ABV. Expect a complex and smoky profile, reflecting both the Islay peat and the influence of the unique oak maturation.
