Named for the loch central to Ardbeg’s water source, ‘the Beist’ delivers an assertive and powerful peat smoke, beautifully balanced by a subtle honeyed sweetness. The whisky offers a rich, oily mouthfeel with notes of tar and soot, characteristic of Ardbeg’s signature style, matured to 46% ABV and bottled in 2007.
