Crafted in the heart of Speyside, The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood showcases a beautifully balanced character achieved through a unique maturation process. Initially aged in traditional oak casks, the spirit is then ‘finished’ in first-fill European oak sherry casks for a period of maturation. This double wood aging imparts a rich golden hue and a flavour profile of honeyed sweetness, complemented by notes of vanilla and a gentle spice.
