About this whisky
- Region:
From the revived Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, this 2016 Feis Ile bottling represents a unique chapter in the distillery’s history – a period of experimentation following its rebirth in 2000. Unusually for Islay, Bruichladdich historically produced unpeated whisky, appealing to a local palate seeking variety, and this spirit showcases that distinctive character. Crafted by Adam Hannett following Jim McEwan’s retirement, it’s a vatting of whiskies dating back to 2001, matured and then finished for six months in virgin oak, resulting in a complex and vibrant expression. Expect a full-bodied whisky at 50% ABV, revealing the distillery’s commitment to innovation and flavour.
