Founded in 1881 on the spectacular island of Islay, This unique distillery has been producing whisky for the seafarers to take away, relying solely on sea trade for supplies and distribution, This is very evident for Bunnahbhain as even on their bottles is the seafarer finding his way on the rugged seas. This old 12 year old bottling once opened will emit the aroma of marshmallows, apples, wet wood and prunes, the palate is raisins, pastry, dates, brine and oak with a medium long finish of malt, apple and oak.
