Born from a pioneering spirit, Crabbie’s 2019 Chain Pier Single Malt represents the first single malt whisky distilled in Edinburgh for over a century. Created at the now-closed Chain Pier distillery – a small pilot operation preceding the Bonnington distillery – this inaugural release is a rare taste of Edinburgh’s whisky revival. Distilled in January 2019 and matured for three years in a heavily charred virgin oak cask, it offers a bold and robust character. Expect a powerful spirit at 57% ABV, showcasing the influence of the cask with notes of intense oak and a distinctive, warming finish.
