Dalmore Quintessence

Born from a remarkable history – including a period serving the Royal Navy – Dalmore Quintessence embodies the distillery’s resilience and a master distiller’s lifelong dedication. Crafted by Richard Paterson during his 50th year in the industry, this Highland single malt begins its journey in first-fill Bourbon casks before a unique five-year finesse in a selection of Californian red wine casks: Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a complex and richly layered whisky, offering notes of dark fruits, spice, and a subtle wine-influenced sweetness. Bottled in 2016 at 45% ABV, Dalmore Quintessence is a testament to the art of marrying whisky and wine, showcasing Paterson’s signature style.
