Glenturret is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland officially opening in 1763 but known to have been in the hands of illegal distillers a few years prior. In 1981 it was only the second distillery to open its gates with a visitor centre. Aromas of summer fruit, oak, cedar and gunpowder characterise this whisky, the palate is raisins, toffee, butter and chilli with a medium long finish of cacao, oak and sherry.
